PsychicsLive asks you to join a community of seekers and gain something cosmic; XpandedTV is a broadcaster's promotional feed, offering what its babes get up to on and off air. A third, maleforce, sits in the same rail. This is a marketplace for phone minutes before it is a porn site.

Prices arrive in two currencies at once. Subscriptions are dollars a month — $4.17, $4.87, $4.99, $5.95, $8.34, $15.00, $16.70, $23.77, $25.00, $34.36, $41.74 — while calls are quoted in credits a minute: 249, 165, 111, 85. Working out what a voice call costs means holding both systems in your head, because the page never converts one into the other.

The dollar figures repay a second look. A price list that lands on 4.87, 8.34, 16.70, 23.77, 34.36 and 41.74 reads like one converted out of another currency, and the currency it was set in is not the one on display.

Four products are separated in the menu — Cams, Video Call, Calls, Messaging — and between the cheapest monthly subscription and the dearest there is roughly a tenfold spread, creator by creator.
