That austerity is the design. Doujinshi is defined by a combination of who drew it, what it parodies, who is in it and what language it was released in, and a site exposing all five as equal top-level axes lets you approach a search from whichever one you already know. Most readers bury four of them in a filter panel.

Language as a first-class axis matters especially — raws and translations are different objects to a reader, and treating language as metadata rather than a filter respects that.

The front page is recently-added in date order. There is no editorial layer at all.
