Phun Forum Review

This is a blog, and it behaves like one from 2006 — which is either the appeal or the problem, depending on what you're after.

Content arrives as dated posts rather than a browsable library. There are recurring weekly features with fixed slots, roundups of pictures and links, galleries, and a general stream of the funny-and-sexy material the site has published for years. A forum sits alongside the blog and carries much of the activity.

Because it's chronological, there's no real catalogue to search. You read what's recent, or you page backwards. Tags and categories exist but they're light — this isn't a site organised for retrieval.

The editorial voice is the actual product. Somebody is choosing and captioning what goes up, which is rare now and is the reason a site like this still has an audience. Aggregators do volume; this does selection.

What that means practically: if you want to find something specific, this is the wrong shape of site entirely. If you want something curated to scroll through, that's exactly what it is.
