Itch.io hosts independent games of every kind, and its NSFW filter surfaces the adult portion of that catalogue — visual novels, RPGs, simulation and experimental work — under exactly the same infrastructure as everything else. Developers get the same upload tools, devlogs, community pages, game jams and pay-what-you-want pricing that non-adult creators do.

That matters more than it sounds. Adult game developers elsewhere are pushed onto niche hosts with worse tooling and no discovery, or onto storefronts that quietly bury them.
