Take it seriously as a design statement: the swipe feed already reduced choosing to a flick, and this removes the flick. What remains is a channel that plays until you stop it — the logical end of the format, arrived at without embarrassment.

The rest of the onboarding is a list of gestures printed as headings — double tap to like, hold for double-speed playback, a play control on the right — which is what a site does when it expects visitors who have never used it before and will not read a help page.

The unit is the animated clip rather than the video, and the claim is more than two million of them. Tags do the browsing, an Android app is offered, and accounts are free.
