"Best alternative" is a question with no answer until you say what you are replacing. xHamster is not one thing — it is a large catalogue, a social layer most tubes do not bother with, a fairly organised interface, and a paid tier bolted onto a free site. Swapping it for something else means picking which of those you actually care about, because no single site here replaces all four.
So this is sorted by property rather than by rank. Every site below has an entry in our directory, and what follows comes from that research rather than from the sites' own copy.
If you want the same scale
Pornhub is the default replacement and there is no point pretending otherwise. Same shape of site — search bar, categories, sort by recent or popular, endless related suggestions — and no account needed to watch. The one structural feature worth knowing is that it splits the catalogue by orientation at the top level rather than burying it in a settings menu, which makes browsing considerably less irritating if the default section is not what you are after. It runs a paid tier for people who want out of the ads.
XVideos goes the other way on interface philosophy. No onboarding, no recommendation engine, no prompt to register before anything plays: a search box and a grid. The category index is where the navigation actually lives and it is unusually granular, listed alphabetically rather than hidden behind a menu, with language-based browsing for audiences the English-first tubes ignore. If xHamster's furniture is what tires you out, this is the plainest large tube available.
XNXX has kept the same stripped layout for years and that consistency is most of the appeal — nothing to relearn, no interstitial before playback. Its navigation leans on an A–Z tag index plus content settings for orientation and language, and the language handling is more thorough than most, translating the interface rather than only the category names. The site advertises over ten million videos, which is its own count and, at that scale, includes a great deal of duplication. There is a paid GOLD tier, though what it includes is not laid out before you go looking.
If you want curation instead of volume
HQporner is the one entry here organised around quality rather than quantity, with a commitment to full-length licensed scenes and comparatively few ads. The trade is a smaller catalogue and the absence of some features you would expect as standard elsewhere. If your complaint about xHamster is that half of what you click is a compressed re-upload, this is the direct answer.
PornGo sits nearby, built around full-length premium scenes from established studios and performers, updated regularly. Spam is the recorded downside.
If you want to keep a copy
Eporner is the outlier on features: one of the larger free collections anywhere, and downloads are available, which most tubes at this size do not offer. The amateur portion of the library is disorganised and spam is a recorded problem. You are trading tidiness for the download button.
If you want the account layer
YouJizz has a more complete account system than most free tubes bother building — history, favourites, comments, a liked-videos list, avatar, and separate password, email and privacy pages, all reachable from the profile menu. There is an autoplay switch, a theme toggle and a language control offered in two scripts. Orientation works as a top-level filter, crossed with week and month windows plus random and trending views.
Two things are worth flagging. Four of its menu items are other products entirely — cams, games, a meeting service — and a partner-videos section indicates part of the library is supplied rather than uploaded. Also, the first heading you meet is "Choose country", which puts a geographic decision in front of any content.
The one that is not currently an alternative
RedTube appears on every list of xHamster substitutes ever written, and at the time of our inspection it was not serving a catalogue. What the address returned was a compliance surface: Trust and Safety, DMCA, 2257, content removal, CSAM and NCC policies — nine of twelve links existing to govern content, with no content present for them to govern. No grid, no categories, no player, no search field.
Nothing published there indicates whether that state is temporary, regional or settled. We are not going to guess. But recommending it as a place to watch videos would be wrong, and every list that still does so has not looked.
The one we could not properly assess
Beeg is long-established and genuinely well known, and its front end publishes almost nothing to a plain request — one word and a video player. Whatever organisation exists is assembled by scripts after load, so catalogue size, category structure, update rate and sourcing could not be determined from outside. Historically the stripped interface was the point. Whether the current version still works that way is not something we could establish, and the entry is thin because the site is opaque, not because the site is small.
The thing all of these share
Every site above is an aggregator rather than a producer. None of them originate the material they host, sourcing and performer credit are inconsistent to absent across all of them, and quality swings from studio masters to phone footage with nothing curating the difference for you. That is not a criticism unique to any one of them — it is the free tube model, and xHamster works the same way.
If that is your actual objection, the alternative you want is not another tube. It is a paid studio site, where somebody is accountable for what is on it.
