Every file on this site exists because a viewer decided to keep something the performer was broadcasting live.

CamSmut collects recorded cam sessions, listed by broadcaster handle and by the date the stream went out. That indexing is worth pausing on, because it means the recordings are pinned both to the professional identity the performer trades under and to a specific day of work.

The mechanism here has no anonymous third party in it. A live stream is not a file until someone in the audience makes it one, so each recording traces back to a person who was in the room, watching, with capture software running. Whatever the performer understood about who was present and what they were doing, the answer in every one of these cases was: recording it.

That also decides what happens to the material afterwards. A broadcaster who stops streaming, changes handle or leaves the platform cannot withdraw any of this, because none of it is on the platform she left.

The site is free, with an age gate at the entrance. There is nothing technically remarkable about it. The question it raises is not about the site's construction but about the audience it is built to serve.
