The name records how it started rather than what it became.

The figures are published on the front page and they are substantial: 12,863 threads carrying over 1.14 million messages, 844,038 members, with the newest one named. Nearly ninety messages per thread means the activity is conversation, not link-dropping.

Two boards say what the community actually does. Translations, and Games Under Construction. A forum that keeps a construction board is a workshop, and the people in it are making things rather than only consuming them.

Oddities have been kept rather than pruned — court cases, past events, private bedrooms, a guessing game — filed in the archive alongside the working boards, which is what a long-running community looks like when nobody has tidied it.
