The name says book, and the structure follows it: a list, popularity rankings, per-person pages, an index.

That framing is the thing to isolate. A feed shows you what arrived; a reference work aims at holding everything. FappeningBook is built to be comprehensive about individual people — the organising ambition is that if material of someone exists, this is where the complete set lives.

Applied to photographs taken out of private accounts, completeness is the harm rather than a feature. A leak that circulates in fragments decays; a curated per-person compilation does not, and it is the version that turns up when somebody searches a name years later. The site's editorial goal and the damage to the people indexed are the same thing.

A section named for the 2014 iCloud breach sits in the navigation, so the origin of a substantial part of the archive is not in question.

The people catalogued here did not contribute to the catalogue, and the more complete it becomes the worse that is.
