Aliases and Implications are menu items. An alias folds synonyms into one canonical tag; an implication means that tagging something one way automatically entails another. Exposing both as navigation, rather than burying them in a moderator panel, tells you the tag vocabulary here is maintained as a structured system rather than accumulated as free text. Very little else in this corner of the web bothers.

The rest of the apparatus matches. Notes for annotation and translation, Pools for ordered sequences, a wiki with a searchable index, an artist register you can add to, a request board and a forum with topic search. Each of those subsystems has its own help page, listed separately — post help, comment help, note help, artist help, tag help, pool help, wiki help — which is a documentation habit rather than a nod at one.

What sits under all that machinery could not be observed. The post index redirected to a login form asking for existing credentials, so this covers the shell only: no image counts, no upload activity, no sense of what proportion of the vocabulary is actually in use. Registration is open, and posts, uploads, comments and notes are all presented as reader-supplied.
