Private Classics is the rights holder publishing its own material. The company has been producing since 1965 and this is its magazine and film archive, released by the business that shot it, which means the provenance runs in a straight line from production to publication with nobody in between. For historical adult media that is close to unique — the normal situation is scanned material of unknown origin, circulated by people with no connection to whoever made it.

What the archive holds is the original published material rather than a curated selection: magazine pages as printed, alongside the film catalogue, from the era when European adult publishing was an industry with editorial staff and a distribution network.

The historical interest is genuine. Six decades of one publisher's output is a record of how the form changed, and having it from the source means the dates and attributions are reliable in a way that a scan dump's never are.
