Nothing on the front page is arranged by what happens in a scene. The three filters offered are ENG, DC and ENG DC — English subtitles, decensored, or both — and SUBTITLES and DECENSORED each get their own destination in the top bar. Genre exists, under CATEGORIES, but it is not the axis the site is built on. What you are choosing between is which two pieces of post-production have been applied to a file.

Titles arrive as distributor stock numbers with those modifications bracketed in front of them: [NKKD-130], [MUDR-197], [MKMP-735], [MIMK-084], [PPPD-449], [SNIS-454], each prefixed [ENGLISH SUBTITLES] and most of them [DECENSORED]. The Japanese industry's own numbering is left intact rather than translated away, which makes the shelf immediately legible to someone who already knows the codes and close to unreadable to someone who does not.

REQUEST SUB sits in the main menu, and it says plainly where the labour is understood to be. The video came from somewhere else; the thing produced here is the subtitle track, and visitors can ask for one. Who does the translating, how long a request takes, and whether any of it is machine output are all left unaddressed.

Twelve performers are pinned in the sidebar as shortcuts — Matsumoto Ichika, Hatano Yui, Fukada Eimi, Julia, Iioka Kanako, Shinoda Yuu among them — and beneath that the footer names close to twenty other addresses, from Javten and JavGG to a Bollywood site and a Chinese-language one, without saying what the connection to any of them is.
