PornstarByFace takes an uploaded image and returns performer identifications, with a stated database size and a how-it-works page. As a tool it does something people plainly want — putting a name to a face is the most common question in this entire industry, and it works where reverse image search fails.
The capability does not distinguish between the people it was built for and everybody else. A system that identifies faces will attempt to identify any face, and the same upload box that resolves a performer will accept a photograph of somebody who has never appeared in anything. Nothing on the public pages describes what happens to uploaded images, whether they are retained, or what prevents the tool being used to attach a performer's name to a private individual who resembles her.
A misidentification here is not a bad search result. It is a false accusation attached to a real person's face.
